Sunny Slope Farm | Scotts, Kendricks, Millers and family

This album is designed to show the interwoven and rich family history that was melded in Callahan County as a result of the migration of the Scotts, Kendricks, and Williams families from Peoria in Hill County Texas.  Arriving together and dependent upon no others for help and assistance in times of poverty, drought, sickness, and death, this strong group left a legacy that spans generations.  Also arriving in Callahan were the Miller's. The pictures are reflective of the times and the trials are many times etched in the faces of the family members reflecting happiness, laughter, play, work, birth and marriage, weariness and difficult times.  Additionally present is a proud determination wrought from all the elements that molded their lives some born from love and some from necessity.  All in all, however, the deepest reflections are of family and the ties that unite and bind.
